Fast facts...that have nothing to do with anything....

Not much time...here are a few items for you to read and ponder:

• Erin might just have the cleanest teeth in the USA.  She got a new Dora toothbrush and brushes many times a day.  She's into it.
• I was at the knit shop last night.  I am in love with Manos...I could eat it.
• Have a big transcribing deadline this weekend.  Y to the yuck.
• I saw this yesterday and my uterus started doing flips.

So I looked up the pattern:

It's supposed to be 55 today...and yes that's warm for here, you southern folks! Hoping to get out on the bike a few times this weekend.  And we'll be at Beef's for part of the Superbowl (can't fathom sitting through the whole thing)...Avery is running specials with pint glasses there and that we just can't pass up.

My house is getting BLASTED with sun right now - as in I need sunglasses.  It's a good FRIDAY!!

I finally got this table repainted for the Nth time.  I purchased it from some flim-flam business owner back in the Heights, back in the day.  It's seen some wear and tear but is still ticking!!  I puffy heart orange!!

I stayed up waaay too late last night and as a result have no patience this morning.  A flurry of tattling, science fair scramble, lost SNOWPANTS (grrrr) and various other annoyances just scurried out my front door.  CAlgon take me away...like I have time for a luxurious bath.

We watched Donnie Darko last night.  It made my head hurt trying to figure it all out. But Chris had a super star sighting in the flick:

Just tracking and recording the important things in life here on old CruiserMama!  No cruising today - it was -2 this morning.  Chris even took the bus!  But the sun is BRIGHT so we should get a serious warming up today.  Toodles!!

BRRR.

Today is cold.  Chris just walked the girls up to school (no biking today - it's 9 degrees) and has ice balls in his beard.  I don't mind the cold - I just don't like it when it's 70 degrees and then 9 degrees in less than a week (though the 70 temp. is nice on the furnace) - it's a little rough on ye olde sinuses.

I finished my knitting project, but it's too big so I'm ripping out two days of labor and I'm modifying the pattern.  Grrr (not to be confused with Brrr). It is a head accessory and while on circular needles Miss Laurel, it's not a circular project.  They were just the right size needle.  Stay tuned.

My favorite line from BIG LOVE last night...said Lois to Wanda:

"Why are you massaging that bird's anus with a Qtip?"

Oh how I love those two. LOVE LOVE!!

I finally got to scrapping this weekend.  It was nice. Oh and we totally rearranged and fixed up Erin's room...pictures to come this week.  Here are some scrappies:

 

 

 

 

 

And I'm not dissing my fourth child...I did some pages for her too but they are 12x12 and I can't scan them and I'm too lazy to take pictures.  I'll post a picture so you don't forget what she looks like.

(the throw, not the pillow...and Target has almost all of their sheets on sale right now - super great deals)

(I was out at crafters last night and have no idea what was going on...well some idea but...).

 

So TGIF and a happy weekend to one and all!

Holy Hump Day!

Last week I did a major overhaul on Erin's room.  This involved going through 3 plastic tubs, various piles, bags, drawers et cetera and sorting through and weeding out and organizing various clothing sizes.  I brought Brooke's old "drama queen" outfit out of the vault and Erin wore it yesterday, complete with leg warmers.  But before I could get a picture of her in all her dramatic glory, she peed her pantsleopard print skort AND her leg warmers.  NICE!  So you will have to wait for the visual on that.

I had to ride the crew up to school this morning - heart still bouncing from hauling those kids up the hill.  FYI - it NEVER gets any easier because they just keep getting heavier.  But note this...a certain five year old is about to get booted from the trailer!!  And...it's 50 here now - super warm and sunny day ahead!

Today is the day I complete several half started projects...such as:

• 1/2 painted table for Erin's room
• bills - I started and am 1/2 way done
• laundry (one of two loads completed)
• 1/2 finished transcript
• putting this house back together (ongoing)
• hand washing peed on leg warmers

We have a sitter tonight (my nephew) so we're going to a big hoopla in Boulder.  Spring Creek and $2 pints - can't beat it. 

Oh and I wanted to see Will.I.Am perform this song live last night, but I COULD NOT sit through an hour of Larry King.  I couldn't sit through ten minutes of Larry actually. Eeesh.  So I'll have to youtube it. 

Don't they look purty?

Our house was torn up all weekend.  Chris worked like a dog and suffered many aches and pains.  But now they're done!!

 

 

And I'm proud to say we worked together ALL weekend without any spats.  Not even any huffing.  It's a record folks.

It's amazing how much unraveling can be done by four unsupervised children over the course of a long weekend.  I'm going to attempt to put things back together today and tomorrow and the day after that.

Trying to figure out how I'm going to watch the DC festivities this morning since they occur during someone's swim lesson (the important part anyway).  I have a feeling I might be able to see it replayed at some point.  Hmmm.

We really prefer the West Coasters around here but I still wouldn't mind seeing this flick on the big screen! 

Instead we will be putting in wood floors during this fine long weekend!

Books Books Books!

I am all excited because I scored two great books from my library yesterday.  People donate used books and the library sells them for $1 or sometimes less.  Any there are GOOD, current books.  Kind of different from the Seminole Heights library in Tampa (no donated books) or the Temple Terrace library (I wouldn't know - too busy making beeline to the children's area before someone started screaming or running away).

If you are into book swapping check out bookmooch.com.  It's free to join, you set up an account and start swapping!  You list books you have that you don't want and books that you wish for and then the trading begins.  No cost involved other than paying to mail books.  I've already sent nine and received seven.

I also like the site goodreads.com.  It's a great place to keep track of what you're reading and what your friends are reading, great reviews, trivia, lists et cetera.  Love it!

The new Wally Lamb (you can see in my sidebar) is good so far.  I'm about 100 pages in and enjoying it.  I will be hitting the gym later, skipping classes and doing stair mill and bike so I can read while I workout.  I have lots of reading to do.
