My kids are off the wall. Parties, Christmas, presents, cookies, candy, snow, Santa - it's making them nuts. Yesterday afternoon we had a power snow - streets were covered in about 10 minutes and then it stopped. And the snow was freaky pellets, much like Dippin Dots. I had a couple errands to run in Boulder and we had to stop for a bit to blow off a "little" steam.
Caroline and Nate look like twins in this picture! If you've never done it I highly recommend running errands the week before Christmas with four kids. It's a buzz like you've never had before!
Tonight my old man and I are seeing some live music. Spring Creek at the Fox - looking forward to getting out of Dodge!!
Please don't tell her that Dora sunglasses and backpacks really aren't cool. It will burst her bubble.
I am inhaling Holiday Gummy Sweetarts. Cannot stop.
We've got Beef's!! Couldn't believe it when I found out and it's right around the corner. It's only been open a week and we ate lunch there on Saturday. It kind of put us into a grease coma - the wing/onion ring combo was a harsh way to go. Next time around I think I'll go for a kinder, gentler, less deep fried selection. No "kids eat free night" yet...but I have not given up hope for the future.
I say a lot of things around here that I don't intend for my children to repeat. But they do. Sometimes it is eye-opening what they select to add to their vocabulary. But I had to chuckle yesterday when Caroline called Nate "Sir Mix-a-Lot." She really knows how to throw down some wicked 80s lingo. Can't imagine where she heard that one!!??
Off to squeeze in an episode of CURB (season 3) that I picked up from Costco the other day. It is the giving season so I decided to give a gift to the radest gal I know!! I love Larry David. And I've got a little bit of yarn twirling to get done. CIAO!

I'm in another swap where I can put my mad trash card making skills to good use.
While this set is lacking both Pam Anderson and Oprah;Winehouse, Madonna, the American Idol trio and Kid Rock balance it all out. If you are one of the lucky participants in this swap you might be able to bribe Steph into sending you the card of your dreams.
And just a side note for those of you wanting to try this at home: For a long time I limited myself to US Weekly and In Touch for these kinds of cards. I have realized that an Enquirer or Globe is NECESSARY for the best trashy words. The newsprint tabloids get down to the nitty gritty and provide more scandalous headlines and titles than their glossy, high-class competitors. Over and out.

It is cold here this morning. As in -12. For those of you southern folks, that is cold. Trust me. My poor dog just might learn to use the toilet today because he wants no part of the great outdoors!!

Busy weekend ahead of parties, seeing Santa, and more shopping, crafting and baking. And maybe our cards, might get to that but its doubtful.

Things took an ugly turn here over the weekend. Stomach flu to the 6th power. Everyone got hit; everyone is now well.
So I've been crafting many gifts, most of which I cannot show here due to nosy Nancy, snoopy readers, most of which NEVER comment, but I know they're looking.

Made the Apple Picking Tote from the purlbee blog (so worth taking a look at)...a lot cuter in person (the fabric is linen).
The girls are still working on the garland - looks great but is taking a looong time and lots of felt.

Got a new brace YEEEEFREAKINGHAW!!! Now I'm up to 4.5 hours of PT/day. Bwahahahahahahaha (translation = yeah right)!!!

So this blog is on the verge of being permanently discontinued in the new year. It seems that no one is reading...except that I can check how many hits I get and it kinda makes a girl sad when I see that my blog has gotten over 100 hits during a time period and NO ONE can be bothered to comment. And I'm not referring to the usual suspects and my fellow 'Net bloggers. I'm referring to my "FRIENDS" from TAMPA (YES YOU) and my family members...LIKE BROTHER AND SISTER WHO NEVER COMMENT!!
So consider your bad selves officially CHEWED OUT and WARNED all in one. The future is in your fingers.

Greetings from a winter wonderland!!
When my girls were babies we went to see our friends in Caledonia, JA. Brooke was 8 months old and Caroline 20 months. Both girls were way into Rocco but he really had a thing for Brooke.
So there's this story about Rocco holding Brooke and she was sucking on one of his dreads. Chris was there to witness - sadly enough I missed it. So we talk about it from time to time and laugh. So you can only imagine what I've been giggling and teasing a certain someone about the past couple days!!!
We actually suggested it before she met him but unfortunately she missed her golden opportunity! Maybe next time.
